People's Community Bank Omnium, June 4-5
Couldn't ask for better weather or an event which was more tailored to our strengths. The omnium had a hill climb, which Paul Low won, A short time trial which Chris Syrrist won and a crit which Chris Syrrist and Dan Baur took 1st and 2nd, by quite a distance from the 3rd place finisher. Mary Cerkey finished second in the omnium and second in the road race, 3rd in the crit and 4th in the time trial. She won the Cat 3 bonus finishing first in her category. Justin Meade only raced the crit, and finished 2nd by breaking away from the pack in the last few laps and holding it until the end.
Overall in the Cat 4 omnium, Dan Baur was first, Chris Syrrist second and Paul Low third. Paul and Dan are both catting up to 3 and Chris isn't far behind. Mary Syrrist is closing in on a Cat 2 upgrade.
