The team's first time racing a UCI event in the states. Ben Frederick has shot up through the ranks in his debut season in cyclocross. The race took place at the Irenee du Pont Granogue Estate in Wilmington Delaware under clear skies and comfortable temperatures, which had not been the prediction earlier in the week. The field was over 50 deep and Ben started in the last row, but moved forward four rows in the first seconds of the race. Ben pressed on through the event and worked his way into the top 20 and finished 11th. Great work by Ben, since the experts had predicted 54th place and he was racing against people who do it for a living. Second day was a great start, but Ben went down on a downhill turn that took the wind out of him and dropping back several spots. He worked to catch back up, but had to settle for 20th place. Still, dignificantly higher than predictions. All in all a great weekend.
