Tour du Life Omnium, May 14/15/16, 2010
A fantastic finish to the Spring season. The weather threatened and always held off until the very last race on Sunday. May Cerkey, Elliott O'Brien, Dan Baur, Judah Brownstein, Erinn Mc Quagge started with the Hill Climb Time Trial up Beech Mountain. It was described at a "Little Wintergreen".
Time Trial results had Elliott in 14th place in the pros. Dan placed 8th and Erinn in 14th because of a traffic-related, late arrival. Mary Cerkey finished 6th in the Women's pro/1/2/3/4.
Saturday was the road race, just outside of Boone at 10 am. Elliott and the pros had a couple of laps while the remaining fields had one. Elliott finished 16th, Dan finished 6th, Judah 15th and Erinn 20th in the 4's and Mary finished 6th.
On Sunday we had the criterium and Dave joined in. Erinn and Dave were lagging behind because of a nasty hill, but an accident in the field gave them a chance to catch up. In the end Dan finished 3rd in the crit. Still waiting on the results from the Crit to be posted. Other results and photos are posted.
