Roanoke Civic Center Criterium, June 30, 2010

The first of this series was cancelled due to a rainy forecast, but there was no rain during this event. Marshall Walden, Rob Benevento, Dave Cobb and Rick Beville race outside the Roanoke Civic Center.

Dave eventually was dropped and caught up to Marshall who had a flat. Dave gave Marshall a wheel to continue the race and he took his free lap. Unfortunately his rear derailleur hanger was loose from the previous incident and he crashed and picked up some road rash and dropped out. Marhsall was patched up and deemed to have lost only some skin and his "newbie" status.

Rob and Rick stayed with the peloton the entire 40 laps. Rob finished 6th and Rick came in third 20-feet behind a Rogues rider. This series will be every Wednesday for a few weeks and we'll be back to mop up next time.
